The roller screen shaft assembly is the working heart of the machine. Each shaft carries the discs that lift, convey and turn over the feed, and the gap between adjacent shafts sets the separation size. TSX Screen manufactures shaft assemblies 1:1 to your original drawings, or reverse-engineered from an existing worn part, so a replacement drops straight into the machine without modification.
Material and Heat Treatment
Shafts are machined from 42CrMo alloy steel and then quenched and tempered to a working hardness of HB 240 – 280. That combination gives the fatigue strength to carry the disc loads together with the toughness to survive tramp metal and uneven feed, without the brittleness of a through-hardened shaft.
Dimensional Accuracy
Shaft diameter and overall length are produced 1:1 to the original drawings, or to the measured dimensions of the old part. Journal tolerances are held to ±0.05 mm and length tolerance to ±1 mm, so bearings, discs and wear sleeves seat correctly on assembly and the deck geometry stays as designed.
Dynamic Balance
Every assembly is dynamically balanced to ≥ G6.3 in accordance with ISO 21940. With 24 shafts running in parallel on a 1.8ZS-24 deck, imbalance shows up quickly as vibration, shortened bearing life and uneven disc wear — balancing is what keeps the machine quiet and the wear even.
Wear Parts and Serviceability
Discs, shaft wear sleeves and cleaners are individually replaceable. A single damaged shaft can be exchanged without scrapping the deck, and we keep the manufacturing record so a repeat order matches the first one part for part.
