How to choose the right vibrating screen for mining operations?

2025-05-20 Visits:1,177

Mechanical screening is an important process in the mineral processing process. After the mined materials are broken, they are divided into different levels and sorted according to particle size. This process is usually done by a screening machine, which consists of a motor that generates vibration, a screen for separation of materials, and a platform that transfers vibration from the motor to the screen and holds the motor and screen in place. The screen plate can have multiple screen tanks, which sort the minerals into several different grades. The deck has single, double, triple, etc. depending on the number of screens it can accommodate.

Mechanical screening equipment includes a circular vibrating screen, a high-frequency vibrating screen, a rotary screen and a roller screen.

High Frequency Vibrating Screen

What type of mining operations are screened boards used for?

High frequency vibrating screens are widely used because they provide high purity and precise size. Many companies engaged in the business of recovering iron, tin, tungsten, tantalum from black ore ore or lead, zinc, gold, silver and industrial sand from nonferrous ores use screening equipment for material grading before entering the next stage. If a double-layer horizontal screen is used to recover gold, a first layer can be set up to remove larger rocks and particles from the ore and then recycled back to a jaw crusher or other crushing equipment to further reduce the size. The second layer is the removal of fine ore that needs further treatment before the next stage of the processing circuit. The material processed through two screens can then be fed to the ball mill.
