How Does High Frequency Screen Work?

The main function of high frequency screen is dewatering, which is used for dewatering of coal slime, coal foam or non-coal fine sand.

The high-frequency screen destroys the surface tension of the pulp and the adhesion between particles through high-frequency vibration, which can reduce the cohesion between fine materials, quickly realize the loosening and layering of materials, and increase the opportunities for fine particles to penetrate the screen. In addition, high frequency vibration can increase the contact between materials and screen surface, reduce screen hole blockage and increase the probability of passing through the screen.

The working principle of the high-frequency screen is the slurry is fed into the arc section of the screen evenly through the feeder, and some fine particles and water are screened out through the continuous shearing and vibration of the arc screen bar.

After entering the junction with the straight section, the movement speed of the solid-liquid mixture decreases, causing the slurry to gather, thus forming a “pool”. Under the high-frequency vibration of the screen surface, the solid particles in the slurry accelerate to decline.

As the fine particles first contact the screen surface and continue to penetrate the screen, a thin filter layer of coarse particles gradually forms on the screen surface to block the fine particles, but the fine particles and water on the filter layer can still penetrate the filter layer and penetrate the screen, thus achieving solid-liquid separation. The weir plate set at the discharge end blocks the material, thickens the material on the screen, and further removes the water through high-frequency and high-strength throwing movement.
