1、 Working principle of high frequency screen
When working, the exciter can provide a high vibration frequency, which can not only destroy the tension on the pulp surface to make the material vibrate at a high speed, but also increase the opportunity for fine materials to contact with the screen mesh, forming better separation conditions.
2、 Screening advantages of high-frequency screen
- High vibration frequency
The screen surface vibration frequency of high-frequency screen can reach 50Hz, and the amplitude does not exceed 2mm. Compared with ordinary vibrating screen, the vibration intensity can exceed 1-2 times. These conditions have greatly improved the screening efficiency of the high-frequency screen, and the screen hole is not easy to block, so the processing capacity has been greatly improved.
- Simple installation conditions
The vibration of high-frequency screen is more focused on high frequency and small amplitude. The vibration is more controlled on the screen surface, the screen box is stationary, and the whole machine is equipped with vibration damping support, so the ground needs to bear less load. This makes it unnecessary to build a special foundation when using high-frequency screen, and it can be directly installed on a flat ground or on a common steel structure platform.
- Long screen life
People who have used vibrating screens know that screens are consumables, and they will need to be replaced with new ones after a short period of time. More times, they can buy a new screen with the money for screen replacement.
The screen mesh of high-frequency screen has three layers, the bottom layer is supported by steel wire rope core polyurethane mesh, and the upper layer has two layers of stainless steel wire woven composite mesh with different wire diameters and apertures. The upper layer works, and the lower layer transmits vibration under dispersed force, which ensures screening efficiency and prolongs service life.
- Low energy consumption
The high-frequency screen takes the exciter as the vibration source, and the power of a single exciter is only 0.15kw. Taking the 2420 electromagnetic high-frequency screen commonly used for beneficiation as an example, the power consumption of the whole machine is only 1.2kw per hour.
3、 Screening Disadvantages of High Frequency Screen
Although the vibration amplitude of high-frequency screen is small, the vibration frequency is very high, and the material strength of the equipment required is relatively high. Compared with foreign countries, the structural strength of materials in China can not meet the requirements, so the service life can not keep up. For equipment used for 8 years abroad, we can only use 3-5 years.
Although high-frequency screen has some disadvantages, nothing is perfect, and its advantages are more worthy of our choice. Tailings dewatering of the concentrator, slime dewatering of the coal preparation plant, dewatering after washing with machine-made sand, wet material grading, and desliming can all be considered.
