Dam Cross Panel with 50 mm Polyurethane Dam | TSX Screen
The dam cross panel (also called a weir panel or dam screen panel) is a 610 x 610 x 45 mm polyurethane screen panel with a 50 mm dam across its surface. The dam holds back slurry on the deck, raising the bed depth so fines have time to drain — a key part of dewatering screen layouts.

How the Dam Works
On a dewatering screen, panels near the feed end stay submerged. The 50 mm dam on this panel ponds the slurry above the screen surface, so water drains through the 0.75 mm or 1.0 mm SS304 wire while solids ride over the dam toward discharge. Combining flat screen decks with dam cross panels lets you tune drainage time across the deck length.
Applications
- Coal slurry dewatering screens in coal preparation plants
- Fine mineral dewatering and drainage zones in ore processing
- Sand washing plants where moisture content must be reduced before discharge
FAQ
Where should dam cross panels be placed on the screen?
Typically one or more rows near the feed end of a dewatering deck, where the bed is still wet. The exact layout depends on screen length, slope and vibration angle — we can advise based on your machine.
Can I mix dam panels and flat panels on the same deck?
Yes. Both are 610 × 610 mm modules and seat on the same rails, so decks are usually built from a mix of flat, dam and impact / discharge end panels.
